Deep Friction Instruments

Deep Friction Instruments

The deep friction instruments have been found to be successful in treating the following conditions:

  • Cervical sprain/strain (neck pain)
  • Lumbar sprain/strain (low back pain)
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (wrist pain)
  • Lateral Epicondylitis (tennis elbow)
  • Rotator Cuff Tendonitis (shoulder pain)
  • Achilles Tendonitis (ankle pain)
  • Medial Epicondylitis (golfer’s elbow)
  • Patellofemoral disorders (knee pain)
  • Scar Tissue
  • Trigger Finger
  • Shin Splints
  • Plantar Fascitis (foot pain)

These instruments have been found to make the following improvements:

  • Faster rehabilitation/recovery
  • Reduces need for anti-inflammatory medication
  • Resolves chronic conditions thought to be permanent

It is likely that after one treatment you will feel a difference in your pain levels and flexibility. To achieve the maximal benefits from the instruments, it takes repetition. Most conditions take anywhere from 8-10 sessions before significant improvements are made.

Because the instruments are stimulating and create an inflammatory reaction, they could potentially cause redness and bruising in the area that is worked on. This is a normal response and the inflammation created actually helps initiate the healing process.
